Join Mel deBoer, Naturopathic Doctor and NOLS wilderness first aid certified registered nurse, for a day of wilderness medicine. She will teach assessment, stabilization, and understanding of injuries and incidents that happen in the home and on backpacking adventures. We will discuss herbal, mushroom, and homeopathic remedies for treating various conditions from burns, fractures, wounds, shock, dislocations, and more. In this workshop, you will learn how to care holistically for your family when emergencies happen. In this hands-on class you will have the opportunity to learn to keep yourself calm, treat holistically, and know when to seek higher medical attention.

Mel deBoer is a Naturopathic Doctor, herbalist, NOLS certified Registered Nurse, and wilderness enthusiast. As a clinical practitioner and owner of Rooted in the Wild, she loves teaching about the abundance and medicine of the wild world.
